Ebony Johnson, The Event Boss™

Ebony R. Johnson is the CEO and Founder of Ynobe Knows Events, LLC, a motivational events company dedicated to building communities that empower visionaries and creatives, helping them to move from doubt to execution, turning their visions into a reality, and making magic happen through events! With over a decade of event management experience and professional event training, Ebony is a rising thought leader in the Raleigh-Durham community.

Ynobe Knows Events, LLC works with nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations, solopreneurs, start-ups, small businesses, academic institutions, and social organizations to create impactful events that increase brand awareness and build positive brand reputations in the community. 

Ebony, also known as The Event Boss™, shares boss principles for event success through her signature events Boss Business Strategies™ , Boss your Life™, and Boss Principles™ (formerly known as “Lessons Over Lunch”). She is also a corporate event trainer, providing public presentations, group sessions, and one-on-one consultations about events. Ebony is committed to inspiring visionaries and creatives to be a BOSS and to acknowledge the power of believing in self.  

 

As a natural connector, Ebony is passionate about creating community and bringing talented minds together.  Currently, she serves as the Director of Special Events for IMBLACKINTECH in Durham, NC, an organization committed to building community, providing professional support, creating networking opportunities, and providing resources for black and latinx tech professionals.

 

Ebony has worked with multiple organizations in her community including Duke University, Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club, Nasher Museum, Radio One, Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce, American Underground, Shaw University, St. Augustine's College, and more. She specializes in the detailed coordination and execution of event logistics, developing organized, high-quality events.

 

She holds a BA in Sociology from Shaw University and MA in Adult Education and Training. During her spare time, she enjoys soduko puzzles, meeting new people, and spending time with family.
